Binance Smart Chain features low fees and fast transactions, but the most special feature is EVM compatibility. Due to EVM compatibility, it is possible to port DApps on Ethereum, and you can use Ethereum-only wallets such as Metamask as it is. BSC's consensus model is Proof of staked Authority (PoSA), a mix of Proof of Stake and Proof of Authority. 21 validators take turns generating a block and in return receive a transaction fee from BNB as a reward. To become a validator, you must be a candidate for election by running a node and betting a minimum of 10.000 BNB. Proof of Authority is a secure consensus model that can prevent ‘51% attacks’. The native token is BNB, which is used for the cost of performing smart contracts in BSC.
